PM Modi reaches Jamnagar on two-day visit to Gujarat

Jamnagar, Oct 7 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Jamnagar a little while ago as he began his two-day visit to Gujarat on Saturday.

Modi was received by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani at the airport.

During his visit, the prime minister will join several programmes across the state.

"My programmes today begin with a visit to the Dwarkadhish Temple. Will lay the foundation stone for a bridge between Okha and Bet Dwarka," his tweet read.

"Foundation stones for other projects relating to the road sector will also be laid. I will then address a public meeting at Dwarka," a subsequent tweet added.

The prime minister will also lay the foundation stone for "for projects including greenfield airport for Rajkot and highway projects" in Chotila, Surendranagar district.

"A fully automatic milk processing & packaging plant and a drinking water distribution pipeline will be dedicated to the nation in Chotila," his tweet read.

Following which, he will join a public meeting.

In Gandhinagar, prime minister Modi will inaugurate a new building of IIT and later address another public meeting.

"There shall be a public meeting in Chotila after which I will go to Gandhinagar, where a new building of IIT will be dedicated to the nation," the tweet added.

To boost digital literacy in the state, Modi will launch PM Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan, later today.
