Chennai, Oct 30 (IBNS) : At least one person was killed in Tamil Nadu as rains pounded several parts of the state on Saturday, partially disrupting normal life, reports said.

The heavy downpour caused deluge and traffic snarls in some areas.

According to reports the  mud wall of a hut collapsed killing a 38-year-old man in Thinnaiyoor near Thanjavur district.

The Met office has forecast heavy to very heavy rains in some areas of coastal districts, including Chennai  and its neighbourhood, in the next 24 hours.
