Milan/New Delhi, Oct 31 (IBNS): Several Indian students met with a racist attack recently in Milan, Italy where they were thrashed with a broken beer bottle and later threatened, media reports said.

The Indian students said that they were abused by the attackers for their skin colour and were asked to return to India.

Though the attacked students filed a complaint with the police, no action has been taken so far.

The students even said that they have been facing such attacks for last two months.

Asking not to worry, Indian external affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj, tweeted:"Attack on Indian students in Milan : I have got the detailed report. Pls do not worry. I am monitoring the situation personally. @cgmilan1."
