Former Bihar Dy CM questions JD-U's motive behind fielding candidates in Gujarat

Patna, Nov 23 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav has mocked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s move to join the Gujarat elections and reminded him about how he is contradicting his own statement.

“On the one hand you (Nitish Kumar) say the BJP is winning in Gujarat but on the other your party has announced to contest 50 seats there. If the BJP is winning there then why are you fielding your candidates there?” Tejashwi asked and charged him with adopting double standards.

He also reminded him about how he had earlier said the Congress is fielding Meira Kumar against the NDA in the just-held Presidential elections to fight a losing battle.

“If his earlier statement (that BJP is wining the Gujarat polls) is true then what’s the purpose behind fielding his candidates in Gujarat? To lose?” he asked, charging the chief minister with taking different stands at different points of time.

Tejashwi alleged the JD-U is fielding candidates in Gujarat only to divide votes of Patel community to help the BJP.

He also alleged the JD-U had withdrawn from UP assembly elections to stop division of Kurmi votes and help the BJP.
