New Delhi, Nov 26 (IBNS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the reported struggling future prospect of the Nano car project that was launched by automobile manufacturer Tata Motors.

Gandhi slammed PM Modi and asked who was responsible for the struggling future prospect of the country's cheapest car project.

Tata Nano is manufactured at the Sanand Plant of the company in Gujarat.

"PM’s pet 'Make in India' project just died. 33,000 crores of Gujarati taxpayer money turned to ash. Who is accountable?," the Office of RG tweeted at a time when the state is gearing up for the Assembly polls.

Gujarat is going to elect a new Assembly next month.

The 182-seat Gujarat Assembly election will be held in two phases, Dec 9 and Dec 14.

Counting of votes will be Dec 18 for both phases.
