Hyderabad, Nov 28 (IBNS): Ivanka Trump, the daughter of US President Donald Trump and his advisor, met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday.

Ivanka arrived in India earlier in the day.

She will attend the  Global Entrepreneurship Summit co-hosted by India and the US.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar  tweeted: "Hand in hand. EAM @SushmaSwaraj met @IvankaTrump, Advisor to the US President and Leader of the US delegation at #GES2017 in Hyderabad; had a productive discussion on women entrepreneurship and empowerment."

Ivanka, who came to the country with around 350 officials, will address the summit jointly with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The summit will be attended by a huge number of entrepreneurs, mostly women. The theme for the summit in 2017 is 'Women First, Prosperity for All' as PM Modi tweeted.

Ivanka, who is undertaking her first solo foreign visit, was asked by Modi to attend the summit when the Indian Prime Minister visited the US this year.

The US President's daughter is expected to address a session also on Wednesday.
