Delhi govt suspended licence of hospital which declared newborn baby as dead
New Delhi, Dec 8 (IBNS): The Delhi government on Friday suspended the licence of a hospital in the city that faced backlash after it incorrectly declared a new born as dead.
Speaking to media, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said: "We have cancelled the license of Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh."
He said the negligence by the hospital was unacceptable.
The incident occurred in Max Hospital in Shalimar Bagh.
The hospital triggered a row after it incorrectly announced a baby as dead with his still-born twin.
They were handed over to the victim family.
Later, it was discovered that one newborn was alive.
