President Ram Nath Kovind arrives in Tamil Nadu; greeted by state governor and cabinet ministers

Chennai, Dec 23 (IBNS): President Ram Nath Kovind was welcomed by Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit and state cabinet members upon his arrival  at Madurai Airport on Saturday.

This is President Kovind's first visit to Tamil Nadu since assuming office in July.

His itinerary includes a visit to the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial in Rameswaram and appointments in Chennai, according to media reports.

He will also attend the valedictory function of the 32nd Indian Engineering Congress organised by the Institution of Engineers (India) in Chennai.
