Bengaluru, Dec 25 (IBNS): Karnataka police have started investigations into the disappearance of a 29-year old software engineer from Bengaluru's Whitefield area, according to media reports on Monday.

Patna resident Ajitabh Kumar, who worked at British Telecom, has been missing since December 18, reports said.

Local media quoting Kumar's friends said that he might have received a call from a prospective buyer for his car that he had put up on sale on OLX. They said he was seen online on whatsapp a little after 7pm.

Kumar's phone has remained switched off since then.
