2008 Malegaon blast case: Colonel Prasad Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya won't be tried under MCOCA
New Delhi, Dec 27 (IBNS): In a major development, a special National Investigating Agency (NIA) court on Wednesday dropped charges under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, 1999 against Malegaon blast case accused Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya.
The court dropped charges under the act against four people.
All four people are currently out on bail.
Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya will, however, face trial for conspiracy charges.
On September 2008, two bombs were blasted in Malegaon, Maharashtra.
Seven people died in the blast.
