Assam Rifles nabs NSCN (IM) militant in Dimapur

Guwahati, Dec 27 (IBNS): The troops of Dimapur battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(N) conducted a search operation along with police representative on specific information in general area of Khusiabill village near Dimapur in Nagaland and apprehended a NSCN (IM) militant on Wednesday.


The nabbed militant was identified as self styled Kilnoser R T Tsanglao.

Security personnel recovered one point 22 mm rifle with telescopic sight and one 9 mm pistol along with one magazine each, two empty magazines of point 22 mm pistol, 28 live rounds of different calibers like point 22 mm, 9mm, 5.56 mm and point 32 mm and 13 fired cartridges of point 22 mm and 9 mm.

The aprehendee along with the recovered arms was handed over to Police Station Dimapur East.
