New Delhi: Fog retards flight, train operations; Hundreds left stranded
New Delhi, Jan 1 (IBNS): Hundreds of passengers in the New Delhi airport and train stations across the state were left stranded as dense fog induced low visibility retarded travel operations, reports said.
Visibility decreased below 50 metres on the runways, arresting flight operations from 6 am in the morning till a little before 11 am.
According to Northern Railways, at least 56 trains heading towards the national capital, are running late.
At least 20 trains have been rescheduled, while 15 have been cancelled.
