Three militants killed in Kashmir attack

Srinagar, Jan 1 (IBNS): The 24-hour-long gunfight ended after security forces shot dead third militants this afternoon in Lethpora Puwlama of South Kashmir, central reserve police officials said.

According to reports, on Sunday night three heavily armed militants entered the training center of central reserve police force 185 battalion in Lethpora pulwama some 24 kilometers from Srinagar.
 
 Reports further added, militants stormed camp at around 2:30 am on Sunday by opening indiscriminate firing and lobbed grenades on deployed forces and buildings.  
 
All three armed militants later entered inside camp and engaged the troops in a gun battle.
 
 In the initial exchange of gunfight, three paramilitary CRPF were injured and one, Constable Sharief-ud-din Ganaie of Chadoora Budgam died at 92 Base hospital. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
 
 The two injured constable, Narender, who sustained bullet injuries on his calf muscle and Malve Samadhan (bullet injuries on his right shoulder) were admitted in the hospital and they are stated to be out of danger.
 
 Later, four other personnel sustained bullet injuries and three of them— Tufail Ahmed of Rajouri, Rajendra Nain of Churu Rajasthan and Pradeep Kr Panda succumbed to injuries while Kuldip Roy (inspector), a resident of Tikkar Khatrian HP, died of cardiac arrest.
 
 Police identified two of the fidayeens of Jash-e-Mohammad, as Manzoor Ahmad Baba son of Ali Mohammad Baba of Drubgam Pulwama and Fardeen Ahmad Khanday son of Ghulam Mohammad Khanday, a serving police constable, resident of Nazeen Pora Tral.  The slain duo, they said, had joined militant ranks only three months ago.
 
 While third militant who was killed early today reportedly are foreigner, however police not share any details about him.
