Ahmedabad, Jan 16 (IBNS): Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Pravin Togadia, who went missing since Monday morning, has been found at an Ahmedabad hospital in an unconscious state, media reports said.

Togadia was found at Chandramani Hospital in Ahmedabad's Shahibug area, report said.

Hospital director, Roop Kumar Agarwal, told TOI: "He is recovering from hypoglycemia. He is slowly regaining consciousness, but he is not coherent enough to give a statement."

Though the VHP said its leader was detained by the Rajasthan police on a case, a senior police officer denied such a claim.

A senior Crime Branch Officer told TOI that Togadia took an auto-rickshaw from Thaltej area, where he resides, to VHP headquarters in Paldi area on Monday morning but went missing since then.

He was last seen with a bearded man, report said.

On Monday evening, several VHP workers shouted slogans outside Sola police station demanding an immediate track of Togadia, following which the city police had formed four teams to locate the leader.

Togadia, 62, is the international working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
