Narendra Modi calls Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani to condole loss of lives in recent terrorist attacks
Kabul/New Delhi, Jan 31 (IBNS): Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi called him and condoled the loss of lives in the recent terrorist attacks which hit the Asian nation.
Ghani said both the leaders discussed the issue of destroying terrorist sanctuaries ' in our neighborhood'.
"PM Modi called me to offer condolences on the recent senseless killings of civilians across #AFG by the enemies of humanity. We discussed the need for an end to terrorist sanctuaries in our neighborhood. India has always been a good friend of Afghans, sharing our pain and grief," Ghani tweeted,
Afghanistan witnessed series of terrorist attacks in the past few weeks.
In the last attack in recent times, at least five soldiers were killed after insurgents launched a coordinated attack on a military academy in Afghanistan on Monday, media reports said.
In another incident last week, at least 103 people killed in ambulance blast incident.
