Bengaluru, Feb 20 (IBNS): Congress leader Narayanaswamy has been caught in a video where he was allegedly seen sprinkling petrol at an office in Bengaluru, media reports said.

Narayanaswamy was shouting at an officer following a quarrel.

A police complaint has been lodged against the Congress leader and the liquid will be tested whether it was petrol or not.

Bangalore City Development Minister KJ George told NDTV, "We have come to know now and the FIR (First Information Report) will be filed and action will be taken."

The incident comes as an embarrassment for the ruling Congress in Karnataka as days ago, news of MLA N A Haris’ son Mohamman Nalapad allegedly assaulting a youth at a Bengaluru restaurant had surfaced.

Nalapad surrendered at the Cubbon Park police station in Bengaluru on Monday.

Nalapad, the Bangalore District Youth Congress General Secretary, was expelled from the party for six years  after they were booked by police.
