BSF trooper shot by Pakistan Army along LoC dies

Srinagar, Feb 21 (IBNS): A Border Security Force (BSF) trooper was killed after Pakistan army use sniper fired from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday.

According to Border Security Force statement,  that Constable S K Murmu sustained critical bullet injury in stomach after Pakistan violated ceasefire and targeted him by sniper fire.

“The injured Constable was evacuated to Army 92 Base Hospital, Srinagar through Airforce helicopter, where at 08:30 in the evening he sccumhed to his injuries while ungoing treatement.

The deceased, 29 was from Jamui in Bihar. He had served for five years.

Tanghdar, located in Kashmir’s Kupwara district remains an infiltration route for Pakistan based militant groups.
