PM Modi to visit Nagaland and Meghalaya on poll campaign tomorrow

Guwahati, Febr 21 (IBNS) : With just five-day left for the poll battle in Nagaland and Meghalaya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit both poll bound states on Thursday to intensify  election campaigns.

During his day-long visit to the  two states,  PM Modi will address two election rallies.

The assembly polls in Nagaland and Meghalaya are scheduled on February 27.

Nagaland BJP unit president Visasolie Lhoungu said that PM Modi will address a rally in Tuensang.

He further said  apart from PM Modi, BJP president Amit Shah will visit the state on Friday, February 23. 

PM Modi will  address a rally at Phulbari in Garo Hills of Meghalaya at around 2 pm.

Modi had earlier visited the state capital Shillong in  December last year and inaugurated the Shillong-Nongstoin-Rongjeng-Tura road.

BJP president Amit Shah had kick start the election campaigns in Meghalaya.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is on a  two-day visit to the state. He  addressed three rallies at Mingchengram cultural club playground in North Garo Hills, Gaurobadha in West Garo Hills and Chatbaku football ground in West Jaintia Hills.

Gandhi also participated in a road show in Shillong today.
