J&K: One soldier injured in alleged gunfight between terrorists and security forces

Srinagar, Feb 22 (IBNS): A soldier of the Indian Army was reportedly injured after terrorists opened fire on a search party looking for terrorists hiding in the Paribal area of Hajin in Bandipora district in northern part of Jammu & Kashmir, on Thursday.

The search party had thrown a cordon around the area after receiving information that terrorists may be hiding there.

According to reports, Gobind Singh of 13 Para was injured when the terrorists opened fired on the security forces.

He was later rushed to a hospital.

Reportedly, the terrorists managed to escape under the cover of fire.

Security forces have launched a massive hunt to nab the fleeing terrorists.
