Hyderabad: Father chops porn-addicted son's right hand

Hyderabad, Mar 6 (IBNS): A Hyderabad man has chopped off his son's hand after he was allegedly addicted to watching pornography on his smartphone, media reports said.

The father reportedly warned him several times. 

The incident reportedly occurred on Monday in the city's  Jalpalli colony in Pahadishareef area.

The father, who was identified as  Mohammad Qayyum Qureshi, is a butcher by profession.

He chopped off his son's right hand and then surrendered to the police.

The son, who was identified as 18-year-old  Mohammad Khalid Qureshi , worked for a local cable television operator, reports said.

“The father has been booked under section 307 of Indian Penal Code (attempt to murder) and taken into custody,” Pahadishareef police inspector P Lakshmikanth Reddy was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

The son is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
