Not Duster, NPF MLAs demand for Innova Crysta worth of Rs 22 lakh
Kohima, Mar 11 (IBNS): 11 MLAs of Naga People’s Front (NPF) in Nagaland have rejected the official vehicles and demanded for top model SUVs to be allotted to them.
Just a few days after induction of Neiphiu Rio-led new government in Nagaland, 11 newly elected legislators of NPF on Saturday wrote a letter to the Commissioner and Secretary of the Nagaland Legislature Assembly and demanded for premium SUVs to be allotted to them.
The assembly secretariat of Nagaland has planned to allot Duster to each MLA but the NPF MLAs have rejected it.
They demanded for Innova Crysta (Top Model), each costing around Rs 22 lakh.
“It is learnt that the assembly secretaries is planning to allot Duster vehicle to MLAs, we the NPF legislators have decided to not to accept the said allotment because of maintenance issue. Instead, arrangement may kindly be made for allotment of Toyota – Innova Crysta (Top Model) to all of us,” the NPF MLAs said in the letter.
The NPF MLAs, who rejected the allotted Duster vehicle and demanding for allotment of Innova Crysta, are – Kejong Chang (Tuensang Sadar –II constituency), EE Pangteang (Moka), Kuzholuzo Nienu (Phek), Imkong L Imchen (Koridang), Yitachu (Meluri), Chotisuh Sazo (Chozuba), T Torechu (Pungro Kiphire), Sazo CL John (Tehok), Dr Imtiwapang Aier (Impur), Y Vikheho Swu (Pughoboto) and Er Picto (Atoizu).
NPF had bagged 26 seats in the Nagaland assembly elections held on Feb 27.
