60-year-old beaten to death over scuffle for filling water from tanker

New Delhi, Mar 18 (IBNS): A 60-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death over a scuffle regarding filling water from a tanker in northwest Delhi's Wazirpur, media reports said.

Three people have been arrested and a juvenile has been apprehended in connection with the case.

The deceased has been identified as Lal Bahadur who lived with his family in SS Nagar in Wazirpur Industrial area.

According to reports, a scuffle broke between Lal Bahadur' s son Rohit and the accused around 3 PM on Saturday soon after the tanker arrived in the area and people of the colony gathered to fill water.

Lal Bahadur tried to stop the fight between his son and the accused , which broke over who could fill water first, but was attacked.

Soon he lost consciousness due to the thrashing and was then rushed to a hospital.

He was declared brought dead by the hospital authorities.

Two people were arrested from the spot and the other two were caught during a police raid.
