Mohammad Shami's wife Hasin Jahan seeks help from WB CM Mamata Banerjee
Kolkata, Mar 19 (IBNS): Indian pace bowler Mohammad Shami's wife Hasin Jahan, who has alleged her husband to infidelity, on Monday sought help from West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, media reports said.
Hasin went to Banerjee's Kalighat residence to submit a written plea to meet the CM.
Hasin said she wants the CM to support her, who had alleged Shami to be involved into multiple extra-marital affairs.
Hasin on Monday went to Alipore court to record her confidential statement against Shami.
While interacting with media, Hasin has hit out at Pakistan VJ Alishba Yousuf for spending time with Shami privately.
Hasin has also referred to Alisha as a "dirty woman" or "prostitute".
However, Alishba said her meet with Shami was a casual one.
On Mar 9, the Kolkata police had registered an FIR against team India pacer Mohammad Shami under sections of attempt to murder and torture on the basis of his wife's complaint.
Kolkata police women’s grievance cell has initiated probe against Shami and his five other family members, including the speedstar's elder brother, who was booked with an additional charge of sexual assault.
Hasin had submitted a written complaint to Kolkata Police Joint CP (Crime) Praveen Tripathi and it is being treated as an FIR.
She had also alleged that Shami was involved in match fixing.
Media reports had quoted Shami as having denied all the charges.
According to his wife Hasin, the cricketer took money from a Pakistani woman named Alishba under the influence of England-based businessman Mohammed Bhai.
