Aadhaar data secured: UIDAI CEO tells SC

New Delhi, Mar 22 (IBNS): In a first of its kind, the Supreme Court on Thursday allowed the the CEO of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to make a Power Point presentation on various aspects of Aadhaar scheme.

The presentation of 80 minutes was made before a five-judge Bench comprising Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justices AK Sikri, AM Kanwilkar, DY Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan.

UIDAI CEO Dr Ajay Bhushan Pandey ruled out any possibility of data leakage and security breach.

He said the data is encrypted and secured in the depository, which is not connected with Internet.
