Assam: Amit Shah will meet 26,000 booth presidents ahead of panchayat polls

Guwahati, Mar 24 (IBNS) : Ahead of the panchayat polls in Assam and 2019 general election, BJP President Amit Shah will meet around 26,000 booth presidents in the state on Saturday.

He will meet them in an attempt to prepare the road map for the elections.

Shah will take stock of the party’s preparations for the upcoming panchayat polls, which have become a crucial factor ahead of the Lok Sabha polls next year.

With an aim to make ‘Congress Mukt’ panchayat bodies ahead of the parliamentary election, Amit Shah will address a meeting at around 11 am in Guwahati in presence of around 26,000 booth presidents, 303 mandal presidents, 38 district presidents.

During his day-long visit, BJP president will also hold a meeting with the MPs and MLAs of the state at Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.

Later, Shah will hold another meeting with the party’s state officer bearers, morcha presidents, spokespersons, districts presidents.
