Kolkata, Apr 1 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday slammed the Centre over the fuel price rise issue.

She said the government is only 'talking' but it is not taking steps to reduce price of petrol and diesel.

Adding troubles for consumers, petrol prices increased to touch four-year high of Rs 73.73 a litre.

Diesel rates hit an all-time high of Rs 64.58 in New Delhi.

Banerjee attacked the Centre in her tweet which read: "Diesel/petrol prices are rising and rising and rising. People are suffering. Kitchens are burning. Government is only talking."
