Manipur : Two live grenades recovered from two brick fields

Imphal, Apr 4 (IBNS): Manipur police on Wednesday morning recovered two live hand grenades from two separate brick fields in the northeastern state of India.

According to the reports, security forces had found one hand grenade in the premises of Arbindro brick field at Khebaching Khongjom in Thoubal district at around 8 am.

The brick field owned by Sapam Arbindro Singh, who hails from Sapam Mamang Leikai area near Khongjom.

On the other hand, police have recovered another live grenade from a separate brick field in Thoubal district.

The police have recovered the hand grenade from the premises of Yumnam Construction brick field owned by Athokpam Makha Leikai along the Phundrei 4 road in Thoubal district at around 7 am.

Later, bomb squad team had defused the unexploded grenades safely.
