Calcutta HC asks WB BJP chief Dilip Ghosh to furnish educational qualification documents

Kolkata, May 4 (IBNS): The Calcutta High Court has asked West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Dilip Ghosh to produce the documents of his educational qualifications, in response to a petition filed by a former saffron party leader, media reports said.

The petition was filed by Ashok Sarkar in May last year.

Sarkar had alleged that Ghosh's claim to obtain a diploma from Jhargram Polytechnic College in his nomination for assembly election 2016 was false.

Sarkar, a former BJP state committee member, moved the plea seeking  cancellation of Ghosh's election.

Ghosh had won the Kharagpur Sadar seat  in 2016.

He is one of the three BJP leaders who had won in the state polls two years ago.
