Bengaluru, June 5 (IBNS): A 26-year-old woman, travelling in an Ola cab to catch a flight from Bengaluru airport, was held hostage, molested and forced to strip by the driver, media reports said.

The police has arrested the driver after the victim registered a formal complaint.

According to reports, the woman, who was travelling alone, had an early morning flight to catch to Mumbai on Friday, June 1.

The driver took a detour claiming they would reach early.

The victim is an architect by profession.

When they reached a secluded area, the driver locked the car doors and windows and molested the woman.

He also asked her to strip and threatened to gang rape her if she refused.

The driver tried to choke her as well when she refused to comply.

However, once she did agree to strip, the driver shared the photographs  of the woman on WhatsApp.

He also threatened to share the photos on social media platforms if the woman filed a complaint against him with the police.
