Patna, Jun 11 (IBNS): Amid reports of a possible rift between them, Tejashwi and Tejpratap- the two sons of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad- celebrated their father's 70th birthday by cutting cake with several Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) workers in Patna on Monday.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad is presently serving a jail term in the fodder scam case.

Lalu's wife and former Bihar CM Rabri Devi was also present at the birthday celebration on Monday.

Tejashwi, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, shared some of the pictures of the birthday celebration on Twitter saying in Hindi, "RJD national president Lalu Prasad's birthday was celebrated with workers by cutting cake."

Wishing ill Lalu on Twitter, Bihar CM and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar tweeted, "Wishes to Lalu Prasad on his birthday. I wish his speedy recovery."

West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee said on Twitter, "Happy birthday Lalu Ji @laluprasadrjd Wishing you good health and happiness"

Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Wishing Shri Lalu Prasad ji a very happy birthday! I pray for his good health, success and happiness, always."

The rift between Lalu's sons came to light after elder scion Tejpratap accused his brother Tejashwi of sidelining the former in the RJD.

However, both the brothers later discarded any rift between themselves.
