New Delhi, June 17 (IBNS): In a writing, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday assured IAS officers about providing them safety and security.

Kejriwal gave a public assurance to the officers.

Kejriwal posted his message on Twitter after IAS officer's Association expressed their concerns in a press conference.

In a statement, Kejriwal tweeted: " I wish to assure them that I will ensure their safety and security with all my powers and resources available at my command. I have given similar assurances earlier also to many officers who have been meeting me privately. I reiterate it today."

Kejriwal said the officers were part of his 'family'.

He urged them to stop boycotting the elected government and return to work.

During the press conference, officers had said that they were on strike and only skip the meetings in which they felt their "safety" and "self-respect" were at risk.
Kejriwal and three cabinet colleagues continued their sit-in protest at Lt Governor Anil Baijal’s office for yet another day.

They have been campaigning since Monday.

They have refused to leave the venue unless Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal orders IAS officers posted in the Delhi government to call off their alleged strike.
