India, Seychelles agree to work on Assumption Island Project
New Delhi, June 25 (IBNS) India and Seychelles on Monday announced their decision to work on the Assumption Island Project.
India also extended a $100 million line of credit to the nation.
India also gifted a Dornier aircraft to the country.
In a joint statement, Modi said: " India and Seychelles are major strategic partners. We respect the core values of a democracy and hence share the geo-strategic vision to maintain the peace, security and stability in the Indian Ocean."
Speaking on the Assumption Island Project, Modi said: "We will work together by keeping each others interest in mind."
Seychelles president Danny Faure is currently visiting India.
