India gifts Dornier maritime patrol aircraft to Seychelles
New Delhi, June 26 (IBNS): India on Tuesday gifted a Dornier maritime patrol aircraft to Seychelles.
The aircraft is expected to enhance the surveillance capabilities of Seychelles.
The aircraft was handed over to Seychelles president Danny Faure by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
India also extended a $100 million line of credit to the nation on Monday.
In a joint statement, Modi on Monday said: "India and Seychelles are major strategic partners. We respect the core values of a democracy and hence share the geo-strategic vision to maintain the peace, security and stability in the Indian Ocean."
Seychelles president Danny Faure is currently visiting India.
