Hyderabad, June 30 (IBNS): An engineering student from Andhra Pradesh has accused three of her seniors of raping and filming the act to blackmail her for over a year.

After receiving the complaint,  police in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh have charged the three accused in the incident.

The police said the girl accused that two of her seniors had spiked her drink while they attended a party at a hotel in February 2017 and then allegedly raped her.

They also filmed the act and used the video to blackmail the girl, seeking sexual favours from her, the police was quoted as saying by The Deccan Chronicle.

The girl alleged that she also informed the college about the incident but the management did not inform the police.

The victim alleged that the authority directed the boys to delete the video and apologise to her.

According to police, the third accused began blackmailing the girl for the last two months, asking for sexual favours, and allegedly demanding Rs 10 lakh, threatening to make the videos public, the newspaper reported.

The girl's father lodged a complaint about the incident on Friday.

The police have charged the accused with gangrape, and also under the IT Act for filming the crime and using it to blackmail her.

Police are carrying out further investigation into the incident.
