Jammu and Kashmir: Terrorists abduct, kill police constable

Srinagar, July 6 (IBNS): A police constable, who was kidnapped by terrorists on Thursday, has been killed, media reports said on Friday

The constable was kidnapped from Shopian district of the state.

The body, with bullet injury marks, was recovered by security forces from Dangam area in Shopian.

Javaid Ahmad Dar was abducted by the militants travelling in car around 9.30pm near his home at Vehil Chatwatan, an official told Hindustan Times.

Dar was a personal security officer for former superintendent of police Shalinder Mishra, the official told the newspaper.

Security forces launched an operation to trace the constable after he was abducted by terrorists.

Aurangzeb's killing:

The latest killing incident had similarity with the murder of army jawan Aurangzeb last month.

Aurangzeb was a resident of Poonch and was on his way home in a private vehicle when he was abducted by terrorists.

A video of Aurangzeb was recorded by terrorists before killing him.

The jawan belonged to 44 Rashtriya Rifles and worked actively for the anti-terror operations in Shopian.
