Mumbai, July 9 (IBNS): A woman was crushed to death by a bus after she fell off a bike that skidded over a pothole in rain-hit Mumbai on Sunday.

The incident, which was caught on CCTV camera, occurred on the flooded road in Kalyan's Shivaji Chowk.

The deceased woman has been identified as Manisha Bhoir.

After the bike hit the pothole, Manisha and her co-rider were thrown off the bike.

Manisha was crushed by the rear wheels of a speeding bus leading to the woman's on-spot death.

The rain is continuing even on Monday as several areas of the city are still inundated.

Manisha's death has once again raised questions over the efficiency of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the civic body in the business capital of the country.
