Tamil Nadu: Minor girl raped in Chennai's Ayanavaram

Chennai, July 17 (IBNS): An 11-year old girl has been raped multiple times by around 15 people over a period of six months in Ayanavaram area of Tami Nadu's capital Chennai, media reports said.

The victim's mother, who has lodged a complaint with the All Women Police Station, alleged that her daughter, who has a hearing impairment, was violated by a lift operator and his accomplices at an apartment.

She further alleged that the ordeal took place between Jan 15 and July 5.

The victim did not divulge the incident to her family till July 13.

The complaint said the family had noticed a red mark on the girl's neck.

According to the complaint, lift operator Ravi took the girl to isolated places in the apartment and abused her.

Later, the accused brought two other men to administer an injection to make the girl unconscious.

The accused people had threatened the girl with a knife and said they would kill her if she did not obey them.

Ravi and other men even allegedly clicked nude pictures of the girl.
