Earth will shake if Rahul Gandhi can speak non-stop without a mistake: Paresh Rawal
New Delhi, July 20 (IBNS): Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Paresh Rawal on Friday attacked Congress president Rahul Gandhi and said that the earth will shake if he can speak non-stop in the Parliament for 15 minutes.
"If Rahul Gandhi will speak for 15 minutes without reading from a piece of paper, without fumbling and mistakes then the mother earth will shake," the Bollywood actor-turned-politician told media.
In a rare picture of the present Indian politics, Congress president Rahul Gandhi embraced Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the course of the no-confidence motion debate in the Lok Sabha on Friday.
Towards the end of his speech, Rahul moved from his seat and walked towards Modi and eventually hugged him.
Showing courtesy, Modi called Rahul and the two had a few-second interaction as well.
Prior to his hug, Rahul said he would convert Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) into the Congress.
Rahul said: "The PM, the BJP and the RSS may call me pappu or slang me with any other word but I have no grudge against them."
"I thank Modi, the BJP and the RSS for making me understand the meaning of the Congress, teaching me my religion and Hinduism."
Targetting Modi directly during his speech, Rahul Gandhi said Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman lied about the facts of the Rafale deal and a secrecy clause with France under pressure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chandrababu Naidu's TDP has brought the no-confidence motion, demanding a special status for Andhra Pradesh.
The Congress is supporting the motion.
