DMK chief Karunanidhi's health critical, security beefed up outside hospital

Chennai, July 29 (IBNS): Condition of M Karunanidhi, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, is said to be critical, reports said on Sunday.

He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chennai.

State DMK leaders have rushed to the hospital.

Security outside the hospital has been beefed up after fresh reports of his health surfaced.

According to reports, Karunanidhi is in the ICU and treated by a panel of doctors.

He was reportedly suffering from fever and infection for the past few days.

He was undergoing treatment at his residence for the past few days.

It was only on midnight July 28 when he was rushed to  Kauvery Hospital after his condition deteriorated, reports said.
