PM Modi congratulates Imran Khan on his win in Pak general elections

New Delhi, July 30 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke to Pakistan's Prime Minister-elect and Chairperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party Imran Khan and congratulated him over his win in the country's general elections.

Imran Khan's PTI emerged as the largest political party in the National Assembly of Pakistan in the recently conducted general elections.

PM Modi expressed hope that "democracy will take deeper roots in Pakistan."

The Indian Prime Minister also reiterated his vision of peace and development in the entire neighborhood.

Imran Khan has said he will take oath as the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Aug 11.
