New Delhi, Aug 15 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has refused to accept the resignation of his party leader Ashutosh.

In a tweet, Kejriwal said: "How can we ever accept ur resignation? ना, इस जनम में तो नहीं। (How can we ever accept ur resignation? No, not in this life.)"

In a follow up tweet, the AAP supremo said: ".@ashutosh83B सर, हम सब आपको बहुत प्यार करते हैं। (Ashutosh, we all love you a lot.)"

Ashutosh resigned from his party citing personal reasons on Wednesday.

Announcing his decision on Twitter, Ashutosh said: "Every journey has an end. My association with AAP which was beautiful/revolutionary has also an end.I have resigned from the PARTY/requested PAC to accept the same. It is purely from a very very personal reason. Thanks to party/all of them who supported me Throughout.Thanks."

Ashutosh, a former journalist, had contested Lok Sabha elections in 2014 from Delhi's Chandni Chowk but lost out to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Harsh Vardhan.

He was the spokesperson of the AAP.
