India, US bilateral relationship continues to benefit from Vajpayee's vision: Pompeo

New Delhi, Aug 17 (IBNS):  US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday condoled the death of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said India-US ties continue to benefit from his vision.

In a statement, Pompeo said: "Today, our two countries and our bilateral relationship continue to benefit from Prime Minister Vajpayee's vision, which helped promote expanded cooperation."

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a three-time prime minister of India, a Bharat Ratna and a stalwart of Indian politics who represented the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Thursday.

He was 93.
