Narendra Modi's "Swacch Bharat†is a hollow slogan: Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi, Sept 19 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday criticised the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the recent deaths of four labourers while cleaning a sewage treatment plant at P Tower of DLF Capital Greens at Moti Nagar in West Delhi and said the Swacch Bharat mission was a 'hollow slogan'.
Gandhi said Modi remained 'blind' to the plight of thousands of manual scavengers.
Gandhi tweeted: "Anil’s tragic death in the sewers of Delhi & photographs of his grieving son have made headlines worldwide. Our PM’s “Swacch Bharat” is a hollow slogan, when he’s blind to the plight of thousands of manual scavengers forced to excavate toilets & sewer lines in inhuman conditions."
