New Delhi, Sept 25 (IBNS): The Supreme Court is all set to give its verdict on petitions to bar politicians facing charges of heinous crimes from contesting polls on Tuesday.

The court is reportedly hearing several petitions in connection with the matter.

A five-judge Constitution Bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra is scheduled to give its verdict on Tuesday.

Convicted lawmakers are disqualified from contesting polls under the Representation of the People Act.
