Uzbekistan President meets PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi, Oct 1 (IBNS) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met the visiting Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev before a delegation-level talks between the two countries at the national capital's Hyderabad House.

"On his first visit to India, PM @narendramodi warmly received Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Hyderabad House ahead of bilateral talk," Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

Ealirer, Exrernal Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj  called on  Mirziyoyev. They held  constructive discussion on cooperation in trade & investment, development cooperation, education, renewable energy, connectivity and  tourism.

On his arrival in the national capital, the Uzbek President and his wife were given ceremonial reception at the President's House. Mirziyoyev, who is being accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation on the two-day trip, paid a visit to Agra on Sunday.
