Rahul Gandhi takes dig at Centre over falling value of rupee

New Delhi, Oct 4 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday took an indirect dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government over the falling value of the Indian currency.

The Indian currency on Thursday remained bearish, hitting an all-time low of Rs. 73.77 corresponding to one US dollar.

Rahul took to Twitter to mean the Indian economy has "broken".

His tweet reads, "#Breaking: Rupee slips to 73.77. It's not breaking - it's Broken."

On Wednesday, the value of one rupee was Rs. 73.34 per one US dollar.

The value of rupee is tumbling for quite some time now, prompting the opposition political parties to attack the BJP government.
