New Delhi, Nov 6 (IBNS):  Karnataka Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy on Tuesday appreciated the victory of the JDS-Congress alliance in the Karnataka bypolls and said it reflected the acceptance of the 'coalition government' in the state.

"A resounding victory for the coalition partners #JDS and #INC in #KarnatakaBypolls displays the popularity and acceptance of the coalition govt in Karnataka.

I thank our people for the overwhelming support to the government and its policies," the Chief Minister tweeted.

He said the victory gave strength to his government.

"This victory gives more strength to the govt to move ahead with its pro-development and pro-people governance. I congratulate all the winners.
#KarnatakaByElection2018 #KarnatakaByElections2018," he said.

Thanking people of the state, he posted: "My heart felt thanks to the people of Karnataka for their support, and to the the party workers of #JDS and #INC for their hard work, unity and contribution towards the victory of coalition partners in #Karnatakabypolls ."

In a big jolt to the saffron outfit ahead of 2019 General Elections, the Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) alliance is on the verge of snatching the Bellary Lok Sabha seat, where by-elections were held on last Saturday, from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), media reports said.

The bypolls were held in Ballary, Mandya, Shimoga Lok Sabha seats and Ramanagara, Jamkhandi assembly constituencies. The results are coming out on Tuesday.
