Dehradun, Nov 7 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday morning visited Uttarakhand's Kedarnath Temple to offer his Diwali prayers.
Modi reportedly spent 20 minutes inside the temple.
Kedarnath Temple, which is present on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The Prime Minister also reviewed the re-construction work of Kedarnath, which was greatly affected by flash floods in 2013.
Though the Kedarnath temple complex, its surrounding areas and Kedarnath town suffered extensive damage, the shrine, which was reopened in May 2014, remained unaffected to a large extent.
Wishing people on the occasion of festival Diwali, Modi had earlier tweeted, "Happy Diwali! May this festival bring happiness, good health and prosperity in everyone’s lives. May the power of good and brightness always prevail!"
