Narendra Modi meets Maldives new President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih
Male, Nov 17 (IBNS): Indian PM Narendra Modi on Saturday attended the oath-taking ceremony of Maldives new President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Modi also met Solih after the ceremony.
MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted: " PM @narendramodi and President @ibusolih held talks in Malé. This meeting happened just after Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih was sworn in as the President of the Maldives. @presidencymv ."
Solih defeated strongman Abdulla Yameen in September polls.

This is the first visit of Modi to the island nation as the PM of India.
Modi attended the oath-taking ceremony shortly after reaching the nation.
