Modi to cater for investment in US
New Delhi, Sept 23 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to draw massive foreign investment will get a new boost when he meets top honchos and heads of 11 American companies including ‪Google and ‪Pepsico during his visit to the United States later this week.
According to information given by Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday, PM is scheduled to meet top bosses from Google, Boeing, IBM, Goldman Sachs, MasterCard and Pepsi.
Apart from that CEO’s of Carlyle Group, Cargill Group, Citigroup, Merck, Caterpillar, Warburg Pincus, Mastercard and Hospira are also expected to meet Prime Minister.
It has been learnt that at least six of them have a one-on-one appointment with him.
Modi has been pitching for foreign investment in the country right after he took over as the Prime Minister.
He pitched his “Make in India” policy when he went in Japan and later when Australian and Chinese heads of State visited the country earlier this month.
Now, Modi is expected to cater India as a business destination in front of the world’s biggest global corporations.
He will be addressing global corporates to set up factories in the country.
Before that Modi will launch his "Make in India" campaign on Thursday, which aims to promote export-oriented manufacturing, heavy infrastructure building and urbanisation.
Modi will be leaving for US on a six-day visit starting on 26 September.
